Biography
My academic pursuits began in 2018 as a part-time student pursuing an associate’s degree in environmental science at Broome Community College. After completing my two-year degree, I transferred to the State University of New York at Oswego. I graduated from SUNY Oswego in the fall of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in zoology. I decided to pursue a career in teaching and research with a focus on animals, so I applied to graduate school. I am a PhD student at Virginia Tech's Geobiology program being advised by Dr. Michelle Stocker. I received my bachelor's degree in Zoology from State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego. At Oswego, I worked with Dr. Jennifer Olori to find a correlation between skull roof thickness and compactness and ecology. At Virginia Tech, I conduct research with fossils from the Late Triassic, more specifically anuran fossils.
Personal Information
In my free time, I like to read science fiction and fantasy literature like Lord of The Rings or books on history and philosophy. I am an avid outdoors man that is constantly looking to get away into nature, but do not mind also staying at home and playing some video games. I have also done a weight loss journey where I have lost a total of 120 lbs, so I believe everyone can be successful if they can put their mind to it.
