My love for teaching did not come out of nowhere. It slowly cultivated at community college, where I tutored students with math and chemistry. As i entered my four year university I became a teachers assisted. This is when i learned the joy of teaching by seeing everything they were struggling with finally click for them. Since i entered my PhD program, I have become more involved with teaching and still I feel i learn something new everyday, like better ways to teach material, how to connect with my students better or simply understanding the material i am teaching better, I have been consistently given high scores on student to teacher feedback and I am proud to say most of my students walk away understanding the material better.
